Chrome for iOS updated with “Messages sharing” and back button long press

chromeupdateChrome on iOS has just been updated to version (ready for it?) 25.0.1364.86, aka Chrome 25, bringing with it two features that have been requested, as both are supported via the native Safari already. The official changelog from iTunes is as follows:

What’s New in Version 25.0.1364.86

• Long press on the back button to quickly access any page in your tab history
• Share a web page via Messages

And of course: stability / security improvements and bug fixes

The new update brings with it the ability to long press the back button to bring up your history, a feature that is currently available in Mobile Safari as well. That really is how simple it is, you long press the back button and then you are presented with your most recent history of open pages. It’s simple, but very handy. The other feature was the ability to share pages via Messages, aka via iMessage or a text message. This is something that I’m surprised to see come so late, but is very welcome. You can get the update by heading into the App Store, or if you have yet to download Chrome you can get that here: Chrome.

What do you think? Glad to see these additions? Anything still missing? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
