CBS launches free catch-up service for iPhone and iPad

Big news for CBS lovers, as America’s most watched network has just released an iOS app, allowing you to catch up on your favorite shows from your iPhone or iPad. The service allows you to stream the latest episode from a series one day after it airs in HD quality, working on 3G, 4G, LTE and Wi-Fi. After posted, episodes of hit CBS shows will stay available for a week, or eight days after the original broadcast. As-well as just streaming shows, the app also allows you to connect to social feeds, create personal playlists, plus a whole lot more.

So, if you fancy the application, get it for free here.

This is a great move forward into making shows mobile, but it won’t be complete until all platforms are covered. Right now, I use my Android phone and my iPad equally, and I can use DISH Anywhere on both of them wherever I have Wi-Fi or mobile 3G network. I have access to all of my channels and all of my recordings because of my DISH Hopper that I had installed a month ago. I had no idea that I could turn my mobile devices into TVs until I started my new position at DISH, and now I wonder how I ever kept up with my shows without this kind of technology.
