While everyone and his dog has seemingly been waiting for the Mophie Juice Pack to land for the iPhone 5, one designer in Miami, FL, decided to come up with his own solution that promises to be slimmer, shorter and more customizable than any of the big name options.
The iKit NuCharge is a 2-in-1 battery pack and stylish case made of three parts: the snap-on back cover, the battery pack and a stylish clip-on fashionable cover available in an array of colors. Unlike a lot of other battery packs it also has the added advantage of giving you access to all your connections and ports without having to remove anything. All-in-all, it looks like one of the most practical solutions for keeping an iPhone 5 charged at all times.
If that’s not enough, the battery technology used has been specifically designed to be efficient and not heat up during use, meaning that although it gives 1,900mAh of juice, it’s going to give you better performance than most widely available 2,000mAh battery packs. What’s more, it has an Apple-authorized Lightning connector attached with a really durable material.
If you’re sold and you want to see the product make it to market launch, head on over to KickStarter and pledge. You can pledge between $1-$89. It’s worth noting, anyone pledging $89 will get a limited edition chrome gold/silver version which won’t be available for sale when it hits retailers. $59 will get you a NuCharge in white or black (MSRP $79). It looks great, and I’d love to see it hit retail stores.
What do you think? Are you impressed?
