Gamers are going to be a little let down with this one. “Infinity Blade: Dungeons”, an application that would, obviously, be a continuation of the Infinity Blade series has been put “on hold” for the time being. Why, though? Well, the first line of a message from Tim Sweeney, founder of Epic Games, says it all:

We’re closing Impossible Studios.

Quick, and to the point, isn’t it? He goes on to say that it was a “bold initiative” and the “Impossible folks made a gallant effort,” but it just wasn’t enough. Unfortunately, we must now simply wait as Epic decides what the future of the project will be. The team has been given the opportunity by Epic – Sweeney stated in his message – to form a new company using the Impossible Studios name and the same logo as before. Only time will tell what becomes of this project though.

What do you think? Sad to see the game get postponed? Hoping it still works out? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
