Rumor: iPad mini 2 to have 324ppi Retina display

iPad mini feature

Amongst all this jailbreaking news, I bring you some iPad mini 2 news. The next iPad mini, which is expected by many to land sometime early this year, has been oft rumored to be receiving a high resolution display. Well this rumor tells us that it will not only have a high resolution display, but a super high resolution display. How good? 324ppi, good. Put that in comparison to the current iPad with Retina display, which is a mere 264ppi. To accomplish this, supposedly the new iPad mini will offer a resolution of 2048 x 1536. Where does this sound familiar? Oh, the current iPads. However, that is taking the same amount of pixels in a 9.7 inch form factor, and shrinking them down to a 7.9 inch form factor. That is what accounts for the increase in resolution.

What do you think? Did you hold of the current generation hoping this sort of thing would come to the new one? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
