A lot of you may have heard that HTC released a new phone, the HTC One. Well, it looks like a pretty solid device and all, but HTC has just announced something targeted directly at those users that are tempted to switch, but don’t want to lose all their iPhone’s data and information. How so? It has announced that an updated version of its HTC Sync Manager application will be able to extract information from iPhone backups. Things that this would be able to extract include data such as photos, videos, calendar entries and text messages. Currently, the software is available for both OS X and Windows, however it isn’t said whether this version will be available on both platforms. This idea definitely is a great idea, so it will be interesting to see if it aids in HTC getting some more customers, as it has been lacking the last few quarters. I guess we have to wait for the device to come out to be able to tell.
What do you think? Will this get you to look again at the One? Interested in how it works? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
