KickStarter has seen phenomenal success since launching in the U.S. in April 2009. Having received over $450 million in pledges in less than 4 years, it’s undoubtedly the most popular crowd funding site on the interspace. Although it seems odd that it didn’t exist before, there’s now an official KS iOS app on the App Store. It launched today and it’s free to download.
From the App Store:
“Kickstarter is a new way to fund and follow creative projects. Everything from films, games, and music to art, design, and technology. We love projects!
Take it for a spin…
* Discover new projects
* Watch project videos
* Get updates from projects and your friends
Are you a project creator?
* Use the app to stay connected with your backers
* track your project’s progress
* post updates from wherever you are.
The app is compatible with iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S and 5 as well as 3rd, 4th and 5th generation iPod touch. It’s compatible with iPad, but it’s not optimized for the tablet. Hit the App Store to download and install it.
