It is no secret that Apple users use the internet more than Android users. The evidence is in graph after graph in survey after survey of web market share. Well, this new survey from Net Applications just reaffirms that already known information. According to the graph, Android web market share has fallen, while iOS’s has increased. This makes sense though, as Apple has been increasing in overall market share, stealing it from Android (because let’s face it, there’s not much to steal from BlackBerry and Windows Phone). Most likely this increase can be attributed to the release of the iPhone 5 and iPad mini. Apple also outsold Samsung to be the largest mobile phone vendor in Q4 2012. This could have attributed to the spike in web marketshare, as a lot of people were buying iOS devices. Plus, us iOS users just loving using data.
What do you think? Surprised the numbers are like this? Is this to be expected? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
