Just like that, only days after the evasi0n jailbreak was released, iOS 6.1.1 beta has been released to developers. Now, obviously if you were one that decided to jailbreak your iOS device, and you are a developer that has access to these beta firmwares, it is has been advised to stay away from this beta release. It currently is unknown however if the update actually breaks evasi0n or not. So far nothing major has been noticed in the beta, so it could be assumed that this is simply to patch up the exploit(s) that evasi0n is using to gain access to the root user of the device. If you live in Japan however, this update brings Maps improvements to your voice navigation, among other miscellaneous things. This is good, as it seems Apple is beginning to focus heavily on Maps, which has continued to be a large complaint of iOS 6.
What do you think? Are you updating? Think Apple did this just to thwart the jailbreaking efforts? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
