Anostyle has been gaining some press and praise from a handful of tech-heads over the past few weeks. The company offers an anodizing service. Essentially: changing the color of your anodized aluminum iPhone/iPad mini parts. You send your iPhone 5 or iPad mini in, tell them which color you want, and you’ll normally get your transformed device back in a couple of weeks. Up until today however, it’s only been available to those living in the States. The company announced on its twitter feed earlier that it’s now open for international orders too.
So, what’s the price of this transformation? For the iPhone 5, it costs a princely $249 USD. For the iPad mini it’s $50 more at $299 USD. Conversion makes that £160 GBP/ EUR 186 for iPhone 5, £193/EUR 223. But, if you order within the next couple of days, you can use the code in the tweet below to gain $100 off your order.
Once you figure in international shipping, it’s pretty expensive without the discount. But, if you want to make your device truly unique, you may just want it. As much as I love it (and really, really want it), I’d have a hard time convincing my wife that we should part with £200+ so that I can have a teal iPhone.
