Incidences at Apple stores are seemingly every day news these days. Obviously, that’s a slight exaggeration but it’s certainly becoming a more common occurrence. The latest took place in Boulder, Colorado. A burglar smashed a custom-made glass door worth an astonishing $100,000 before making off with $64k worth of MacBooks, iPads and iPhones. There were individual MacBook Pros stolen worth over $2,000 each. They’ll more than likely turn up on the black market.
One reason for this apparent rise in Apple store thefts is that the economic state of the West is squeezing people towards stealing valuable consumer electronics. And Apple – being Apple – is a particularly valuable brand.
