Simplenote is one of the more prominent productivity applications on Apple’s App Store that rose to fame a few years ago due to its simple and intuitive interface that allows users to save their notes wherever they may be, and even share those notes with anybody they want to. Well, according to All Things D, the treasured app, and its creator, have both been bought by the owner of WordPress.com – Automaattic – in a bid to improve its own mobile applications.
For those of you worrying about the fate of Simplenote, don’t worry, as Matt Mullenweg, founder of Automattic, just so happens to be a lover of the application, saying “”Simplenote as a product I love and it’s just darn handy”. This should cut any concerns over the future of the app.
