Samsung and Apple are set to go to court over yet another dispute in 2014, and in preparation for the inevitable punches that will be thrown, each party has added more devices into its case ammunition. A California judge agreed to add the devices to the case yesterday (Wednesday) after both Apple and Samsung appealed their cases. However, the judge also withdrew one of the devices – the Samsung Galaxy S III mini – that was added back in November 2012, on grounds that Samsung was not actively selling the device in the US.
The case has sparked as another part of the Galaxy Nexus filing that initialized earlier on last year. The devices that Apple has added to the case are as follows: Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S III with Android 4.1, Rugby Pro, Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wi-Fi and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, whereas Samsung has simply added the iPhone 5 to its appeal.
Expect more news and more devices to be added to the case over the year, as the trial isn’t set to start until March 31, 2014.
