jOBS biopic gets April 2013 US release

The Steve Jobs biopic, dubbed “jOBS”, has gotten a distribution deal that gives it an April 2013 release, with the premiere at the Sundance film festival. Producer of the film, Mark Hulme, says that they found a great partner in Open Road:

…we set out to find the perfect partners to present jOBS to audiences worldwide, and we feel we have found one with Open Road. They were as impressed as we were with Ashton Kutcher ’s inspiring and unforgettable performance as Steve Jobs and are excited to distribute the picture in the U.S.

The film will be focused around Jobs’ life between 1971 and 2000. It also includes some big names, including Ashton Kutcher, Dermot Mulroney, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons, and Matthew Modine. The cinematographer behind the film is also the one behind Titanic, Russel Carpenter. I’m excited to see this.

What do you think? Excited? What do you expect? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
