IOS 6.x Jailbreak Website Now Live

If you were planning on jailbreaking your iOS 6.x device soon, we have a website you may want to add to your “favorites” soon.

The jailbreak for iOS 6.x is apparently being referred to as “evasi0n” and the team behind the jailbreak has launched a new website. The website contains a progress bar below the image of iOS 6 friendly devices that currently reads “We are in the process of finishing the GUI.

Come back soon!” as well as a “Requirements” section and more information regarding jailbreaking Apple devices. The site also states that private beta testing is coming in the near future. If you plan on jailbreaking your device, be sure that you meet the requirements listed.

According to the website, the requirements are:

  • 5 minutes of your time!
  • A computer, running Windows (XP minimum), Mac OS X (10.5 minimum) or Linux (x86 / x86_64)
  • An iPhone, iPad or iPod running iOS 6.0 through 6.1 (you may check in Settings / General / About => Version)
  • A USB cable to connect the device to the computer
