Foursquare allows users outside of Foursquare to “Like” check-ins

A new little feature was just added by Foursquare related to how people can “Like” your check-ins. Before now, you had to be friends with someone on Foursquare in order to like where they check-in, but now, when you share your check-in to Twitter or Facebook, anyone that sees that can go on to Foursquare and like it. You even get a quick notification to let you know how popular you are when people like your check-ins. If you don’t want notifications though, you can easily turn that off. Some of you may be concerned about privacy with this, however with some updated settings that Foursquare has put in place, there shouldn’t really be a worry. If you are ever against the privacy policy, no one is forcing you to use the service.

What do you think? Do you use Foursquare? Like or dislike this change? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
