Cheap 3rd party Lightning cables are beginning to appear

Cheap Lightning cables started showing up around the time that the authentication chip was hacked, but they weren’t very prevalent. Now, the website TVC-Mall has added an entire section dedicated to Lightning cables, most of them very cheap. Compared to Apple’s $19 one, these start at a mere $3.62. It doesn’t stop there though, there are also Lightning to 30-pin adapters and Lightning to USB adapters. Bored of the plain white color that Apple does? Don’t fret! This site has them in all sorts of colors. So whether you want new colors or just need a cheap cable, this site seems to have them. You have to keep in mind though, these are unofficial  and may not work. So consider yourself warned.

What do you think? Are you going to order some? Wish Apple wouldn’t have done the authentication chip? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.

Actually Picked up a few at my local swapmeet. $5 each and i got a black, blue and red. The seller tested it for me with his iphone 5. Work great. They are about 6 in longer than the stock one. We got them for my sons ipad mini. one in each car so he does not have to remember to bring the charger.
