CES 2013: Liquipel 2.0 coming to devices soon

Liquipel has announced the successor to its nanocoating technology that waterproofs devices like the iPhone. Liquipel’s new Liquipel 2.0 coating is a vapor-applied coating that covers and waterproofs devices for submersion for up to 30 minutes.

Along with the new version, Liquipel has also announced a guarantee to go along with its new coating technology. Liquipel is now guaranteeing that devices will survive accidental liquid damage such as rain, sweat, and dropping your device into the sink. Unfortunately, Liquipel’s guarantee excludes accidentally submerging your device in water, so you aren’t guaranteed it will work when showing off your waterproof device to friends.

Liquipel is offering its services via its website where you can send in your device and have the coating applied to your device by Liquipel professionals starting at $59. Do any of you have Liquipel? Or is this a service you would be interested in? Let us know in the comments below!
