For those of you who are Apple shareholders, this message is for you. If you want to attend Apple’s annual shareholder’s meeting, it was announced today that the meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on February 27th in Cupertino, California at the company’s headquarters to discuss new proposals. Anyone who held Apple stock as of January 2nd is allowed to appear and vote on proposed measures during the meeting.
Apple’s General Council Bruce Sewell sent a letter today to current shareholders that outlined everything scheduled to be discussed during the meeting including new proposals by the Board of Directors.
Some of the new proposals include electing new members of the Board of Directors, a vote for executive compensation, and solidifying Ernst & Young as Apple’s accounting firm.
Apple’s proposal is also looking to set a “par value” of $0.0001 per share, a move which Apple claims will cut expenses for the company. Apple does not currently have a “par value” and the value essentially means that Apple shares cannot sell below $0.0001
