As you probably saw earlier today, Verizon announced that it sold 6.2 million iPhones this past quarter. That added up to around 2/3 of all smartphone sales on Big Red, making it the best quarter for Cupertino’s device on Verizon. Well, taking this information a little further, analyst Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets has said that 11% of all iPhones sold were on Verizon. If you haven’t already, let me do that math for you. That adds up to about 56 million iPhones sold in Q4. That 6.2 million shows a significant increase over the previous quarter’s sales, which were only a mere 3.2 million in comparison. Only half of those were iPhone 5s, showing that the iPhone 4 and 4S still held their own throughout the holiday season quarter.
What do you think? Surprised by the sales numbers prediction? Do you agree? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
