10 years later: watch the MacWorld 2003 Safari introduction keynote

One decade. That is how long those of us outside of Apple have heard the word “Safari” and immediately thought about the web browser, and not the African adventure. Above is the video of Apple’s 2003 MacWorld keynote where it announced the browser that is now in its 6th rendition. The video is 2 hours long, so if you have some free time, have at it. If you are only interested in the Safari section, that begins at around 54 minutes, 52 seconds. Safari at the time was only a fledgling desktop web browser, but now, as you are surely well aware, has gone on to become to the most used mobile browser (according to mobile web usage surveys), available on Cupertino’s line of iOS devices.

What do you think? Do you use Safari or something else? What is your browser of choice? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
