Starbucks app finally updated for iPhone 5 screen

Arriving very fashionably late to the party, the ever-trendy Starbucks has finally updated its iOS application to be compatible with the new 4-inch screen on the iPhone 5 and latest iPod touch. If you’re a caffeine fiend or avid scarf-wearer, you can download version 2.5.2 of the official Starbucks application from the App Store now. Other than the screen optimization, the app update comes with the usual serving of half-caf, mocha bug fixes and it also features a few no-whip, low-fat sound effects.

The Starbucks application has been Passbook-compatible since the first week of October, so I’m a bit confused as to why it took the company so long to update its application for the iPhone 5. I guess the developers just got a bit too caught up on those novels they were working on while sipping their Chai teas and listening to artists you’ve probably never heard of… but, better late than never.

updated the starbucks app to my iPhone 4.  The circle that states “touch to pay” is not next to the gold cup.  Help!
