It has been rumored for what seems like forever that Microsoft’s Office applications would be finding their way onto iOS devices, such as the iPad. It was seemingly confirmed a while back, but Microsoft came out with a statement saying that the remarks regarding the development of Office for iOS were inaccurate. Well, some references to iOS devices have started popping up around the companies support sites. These however look as if they are misplaced as the information on the pages have nothing to do with these devices.
Nevertheless, if you look above you will see a screenshot of a support page for sharing files through a SharePoint server. As you can clearly see, it makes references to “Office Mobile for iPhone”, “Excel for iPad”, and “PowerPoint for iPad”. As MacRumors notes, this doesn’t really give us anyone unknown information about the products, they only further confirm the existence of them.
What do you think? Can’t wait for Office for iOS? Hope it is released relatively soon? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
