We’ve been keeping an eye on one awesome app-switching concept since it showed up on The Verge’s forums last month. The concept soon became reality as the designer (code-name Sentry) teamed up with a pair of craft developers. Auxo completely reinvents the way you multitask on your iPhone/iPod touch and features some really nifty toggle buttons for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc. It’s currently in the BigBoss repo for $1.99.
It’s important to note that this is only compatible with iOS 6 right now, and also, only works on iPhone and iPod touch (no iPad loving yet). Thankfully, if you are running iOS 5.x there should be an updated release next week making it compatible with devices running older software. Sadly – as far as we know – there’s no jailbreak available yet for dual-core iOS devices running iOS 6. But you can jailbreak A4 devices using Redsn0w, and that’s still only in tethered mode. So, I guess a lot of us are still going to need to wait for a little while yet.
So – in short – if you have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 6 you can install it, otherwise, no.
