Will.i.am’s iPhone camera add-on to be released December 6

Last week, news from the Apple-accessory front emerged stating that none other than Will.i.am had been playing around with an iPhone camera accessory, called the ‘i.am+’. Little did we know that he was actually trying to sell the (rather ridiculous) bolt-on camera, and that four different models would be released in a few day’s time, on December 6.

The accessory is essentially a 14 megapixel sensor that bolts on to the iPhone, with little connection between the two, other than that they’re attached. So, if you’re out to replace your current point-and-shoot for one that’s vulgar, bulky and probably worse, look no further than the i.am+. And the price? Oh, it’s only $318 for the base model. What’s that? You want everyone to hate you? Go for the gold one, that’s just $477.

If you have an uncontrollable urge to buy any rubbish that a celebrity endorses, and own an iPhone 4/4S, then go out an buy this on December 6. If you own an iPhone 5, you’ll be waiting until 2013.

I like seeing innovation like this and all but will.i.am could have made it look less gaudy and flashy -.-

@KVKdragon And expensive. If it wasn’t priced far higher than your average point-and-shoot, it’d be a cool idea. Annoyingly it’s pretty much exclusive to the rich and foolish. Shame.
