If you are a T-Mobile subscriber, you are now part of a group half a million customers smaller. In a media release today, T-Mobile confirmed that it lost nearly a half of a million customers in Q3 2012. This is up from last year’s Q3, which saw 330,000+ customers leave the 4th largest US carrier. Where are the putting the blame? The iPhone 5 launch. Many customers jumped off the big pink ship headed for bigger ones with a little more red, blue, or yellow.
That’s a lot of customers to be losing, especially after losing even more in Q2. T-Mobile is currently in the process of turning on its iPhone compatible network, which it apparently isn’t doing fast enough to attract unlocked iPhone customers. T-Mobile has always been the outcast of carriers here in US when it comes to iOS devices, seeing as it has none. There have been rumors for awhile of it finally getting it sometime next year though. But that rumor is the new Verizon iPhone rumor, remember how long that went on? Exactly.
What do you think? Wish T-Mobile would’ve just been purchased by AT&T? Are you a happy T-Mo user? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
