Meet AT&T Locker: Carrier’s video and image cloud vault for iPhone

It’s fair to say that the cloud storage market place is getting incredibly crowded. With Google, Apple and Microsoft going head-to-head with the likes of DropBox and many others, it’s virtually impossible to choose between them. And, as if it wasn’t hard enough to choose already, AT&T has decided to enter with its very own Locker.

Locker enables its users to backup music, image and video files, and share them with friends and family. Subscribers get 5GB for free, but can upgrade to one of two other plans. For $3.99 per month you can get 30GB of storage, or for $9.99 you get 100GB. Not bad value for money, especially when you consider what it costs for similar iCloud storage. The app also has an “Easy Upload” feature which automatically backs up any new files, similar to Photo Stream, but without a photo limit.

If you have an iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S or 5, iPod touch (3rd, 4th or 5th gen) or an iPad you can take advantage of AT&T’s new Locker providing you’re running iOS 4.3 or later.
