We reported on Thursday that a shipment of 3600 iPad minis had been stolen from JFK airport. Now, the airport worker who had supposedly carried out the robbery has been arrested by the FBI. The alleged thief managed to pull off a movie-style crime, and drove away from JFK with $2 million worth of iPad minis in tow.
The suspect in question, Renel Rene Richardson, pulled off the heist with two others, his job being to look out for anyone who saw the crime (He didn’t do a very good job, another airport worker watched the events unfold and alerted others).
Mr. Richardson is currently being questioned by authorities, and it is unknown whether the iPad minis have been recovered.
