iPhone 5 stock picks up as Apple catches up with demand

Demand for the iPhone 5 has been through the roof since its launch two months ago. So much so that Apple is only just catching up with it, with Apple Stores now stocking more iPhone 5s than ever, according to Apple Insider.

Gene Munster from Piper Jaffray had this to say about the stock increase:

“As we get closer to the holiday, we believe consumers will likely have the ability to walk into an Apple Store and walk out with an iPhone 5 within the next two weeks,”

All iPhone 5 models are becoming more available, but some are still easier to find than others, with Verizon’s version being the most scarce. Check out the graph for statistics for AT&T, Verizon and Sprint.

This new stock isn’t exclusive to Apple retail stores though, as Apple’s online store is now estimating a 2 week delivery time, whereas up to now Apple has predicted a delivery time of 3-4 weeks.
