iPhone 5 now shipping in ’2 weeks’ according to Apple online store

Apple’s hottest new product, the iPhone 5, may finally be catching up to consumer demands.

The iPhone 5 is now listed as “Available: 2 weeks” on Apple’s online store. This means that any new iPhone 5 purchased will ship in 2 weeks, and until today that time frame was 2-3 weeks. It seems Apple has suddenly become a little more sure of its stock.

Personally, I’m kind of shocked that the iPhone 5 is still in such high demand. It’s been a while since it was released, and there has also been a huge amount of other major releases from Apple. It’s pretty impressive that the demand for the iPhone grows so strongly every year.

Do you think shipping times will continue to decrease throughout the holiday season? Or are they going to shoot back up after black friday and Christmas shopping starts?

That’s funny, over here (Bucharest – Romania) you just go in a carrier store and just get one. There’s not even a line.

Not sure if it’s the demand or the slower manufacturing process that has been documented of this phone. Probably the latter.
