Flipboard updated with iBook store discovery section

I’ve already made public my love for the Flipboard app, especially on the iPad mini. The program lends itself perfectly to the smaller form factor of Apple’s latest tablet. And, it’s just become even more useful. Flipboard’s developers have teamed up with Apple to add an iBooks discovery channel within the app, simply titles “books”. In true Flipboard fashion, it transforms the iBooks browsing in to magazine format. Beautiful.

You can browse through various categories and genres, with each showing up as a cover and a section of the introduction and description. All-in-all it looks a welcome addition to the app, and should be very helpful to serial iBook readers. Allegedly, Flipboard takes a 5% cut of any sale made by discovering books through its app. I’m pretty pleased with it – as you can probably tell. Have you given it a go yet?
