Apple’s success has been called in to question a lot recently. No more prominently than on the Nightline video predicting Apple’s demise, pretty much stating that our favorite company has hit a peak and the only way forwards now is down. Despite that, Apple keeps on selling millions of devices. 2 million iPhone 5 pre-orders in the first 24 hours and 5 million sold on the opening weekend of sales and 3 million iPads last weekend. It’s not like Apple’s struggling to please customers.
A new report has been released this morning with news that component part manufacturing is starting to pick up again. The only hold up in iPhone 5 production now is the well-documented problems at the Foxconn assembly parts as staff struggle to meet Apple’s quality demands. That said, analyst Shaw Wu of Sterne Agee believes Apple will still sell an astonishing 46.5 million iPhones in the current quarter. Not bad for “struggling to meet demand”.
