Apple launches new iTunes page for hurricane Sandy relief donations

Sandy, until a couple of weeks ago, was a name which only brought one thing to mind when mentioned: Grease. Olivia Newton-John’s character from the iconic musical is about as far removed as you can get from the nature of the storm that recently hit the east coast of America and some of the Caribbean islands. Many of you by now will have seen the state it’s left behind in New York City and New Jersey particularly.

Apple has now launched a page within iTunes to allow customers to donate to the American Red Cross, to aid relief. You can donate $5, $10, $25, $50, $100 or $200 with 100% of the money going direct to the Red Cross. Apple will not be taking a single cent from your donations.

If you want to donate, you’ll find the page within iTunes when you open it up on your Mac/PC/iPhone/iPad.
