As the iPad mini launch day approaches, sources and leaksters are probably counting down the hours they have left to spill their beans. The rest of us are counting down the hours until they stop. But, until then I suppose we should entertain the last remaining snippets of intelligence.

The most recent regarding iPad mini differs slightly from what we’ve heard in the past. Previous rumors and leaked pricing charts suggested we were going to see prices start at $249. I always felt it was incredibly unlikely considering the price point of the much smaller, new iPod touch models ($299/$399). A source has spoke to the guys at 9to5Mac and told them that – at the very least – prices will start at $329. The site created the price matrix below based on the information:

Although it may come as a slightly disappointing bit of intel, it’s far more realistic considering Apple’s current price range. All will be revealed at the event on Tuesday the 23rd, and you can be sure we’ll be covering it all the way.
