RHA, a quality audio company based in Glasgow, Scotland is set to unveil its headphones to the US audience for the first time. The accessory maker will be launching its products in the Apple retail stores at the end of October, and has just launched a set of noise-cancelling in-ear headphones on the Apple online store. The company has two models on offer; the MA450i (in-ear) and SA950i (on-ear) which took 3 years of research and development to create.
RHA MA450i – $49.95 (Available now)
The MA450i is the company’s in-ear solution. It’s constructed from high-grade aircraft aluminum, and have been constructed for incredible audio performance. It’s available in black and white, and comes packaged with seven sets of rubber eartips designed for different sized ears. The cable is interestingly designed, having been wrapped in braided fabric, and has the iPhone compatible inline microphone with three buttons (volume up/down and speak). If it offers the audio quality the company promises, $50 should be a no brainer. Apple store link.
RHA SA950i – $59.95 (Available end of October)
I’m not a fan of having anything inserted in to my ears, so I was overjoyed when the company informed me of its on-ear alternative. The SA950i has a really old-school leather-like black and chrome finish.
“The lightweight SA950i headphones also use contour-forming earcups attached to adjustable chrome sliders for a secure and comfortable fit as well as a 1.2m detachable, fabric braided cable with in-line remote. “
They also promise studio quality audio thanks to some neodymium magnets housed within each earcup. Needless to say, I’m looking forward to trying these out when they’re launched at the end of October.
