I think because the ruling was only for mobile devices platforms and not the tablets

  • Dooha333

So if I jailbreak an iPad bought before 2013 and keep it jailbroken in 2013..will that be illegal ??

  • SquirePatsy

Kiss my what? Were I to be so inclined as to wast money on an iAnything, It would be mine. I’ll do whatever I please to it. Lets ban aftermarket car stuff too while we’re at it, all that stuff detracts from the original intent and design.

More proof Apple has tremendous contempt for their customers…

  • ChrisKuhner

If you want open source buy an android!

  • Guest911

Why are Android users so bloody dumb? This is NOT an Apple issue but a govt ruling. If you cant read, ask someone. Oh and this applies to ALL devices, including Android.

  • ChrisKuhner

At the end of the video he said “I’m more for an open system.” Android is an open system. I am not dumb just stating a fact. @Guest911

Illegal how? If you get caught with a jailbroken iPad you go to jail? Under what law did they do this? Some kind of patriot act?

  • RaduTanasescu

@ChrisKuhner  @Guest911 What he means is he’d like IOS to be a more opened system, not to switch to Android.

  • RaduTanasescu

@ChrisKuhner  @Guest911 By the way, we all would.

It all determines what you’re using jail breaks for(customization, modding games, making it international friendly) but stealing/counterfeiting/copy right and cheating no sir way should it be legal then.

  • Bashar3A

Jailbreaking and pirating are completely different things. True one opens door for the other, but so does the internet open the full door to piracy.

    Re: the law…  vote Libertarian.

  • MarioPalenzuela

So it’s legal if you don’t copyright from it.
