Unless you have been living under a rock the past few hours and suddenly decided to crawl out into society (or onto your computer) and open this article, you know that Apple announced the iPad mini today. What are you looking at above though? That’s a size comparison of the iPad mini and Nexus 7. The red represents the iPad mini while the orange represents the Nexus 7. The iPad mini was announced today with the official size being as follows, via Apple.com:

Height: 7.87 inches (200 mm)
Width: 5.3 inches (134.7 mm)
Depth: 0.28 inch (7.2 mm)
Weight: 0.68 pound (308 g)

As you can tell, it’s a pretty small device, compared to the iPad that is. If size is what matters for you, then you can head on down to the source link below in order to compare the size of the iPad mini to the Nexus 7 from a front view, side view, top view, and a “3D” view. Of course I would recommend the iPad mini, but of course it all comes down to your own personal preference.

What do you think? Are you picking up an iPad mini? Is this all you hoped for? Let us know in the comments.

“Of course I would recommend the iPad mini”
Why? I actually am curious. A device with an older, slower processor, lower screen resolution than most of its competitors and stuck with a starting price at least $80 higher than any of them, seems like recommending it to anyone is a bad idea.
In my opinion Apple had an opportunity with the iPad Mini and completely blew it. Its 2 years out of date and hasn’t even launched yet.
