As most of you will be aware, there’s a huge storm on its way up the East Coast of the U.S., named Sandy, she’s nowhere near as quaint and angelic as her name might suggest. She’s the fiercest hurricane to hit America in years. In preparation – along with the general mass evacuations – Apple stores are building up sandbag barriers and wrapping their on-display products in plastic to make them water tight.
I don’t know about you, but the sandbags look pretty useless to me. If a huge hurricane is on its way, I doubt a few sacks full of beach grain are going to deter it.
On a more serious note, I – along with everyone over in the States – am hoping this storm passes without too much devastation, and that people take it seriously and get out of the areas that are set to be worst hit. Fingers crossed.
