Apple Introduces New iPad 4, Twice As Fast As iPad 3

In a fairly surprising move, Apple announces 100 million iPads sold as they introduce a brand new fourth generation 9.7″ new iPad 4. That’s right iPad 3 owners, the iPad we purchased just a few short months ago is already outdated as Apple adds the same A6X processor as the iPhone 5 bumping the new new iPad 4 performance by twice as much. Apple kept the same 10 hour battery life, LTE connectivity while adding 2x faster WiFI, lightning connector just like the iPhone 5 and kept the very same price with white and black models starting at 16GB for $499.

Side note: Sprint will also feature the new iPad 4 with LTE on their network.

Are they having a laugh, they best do some kind of buy back programme for us 3rd gen owners because out dating a product six months after they release it is unacceptable! I’m livid, I can’t believe they’re screwing us all like this!

  • Jackrabbit710

@TodaysiPhone that is so annoying! Not even 6 months old!!! They know they have the apple fans by the balls now..

In your article you say the ipad (4th gen) has the same processor as the iPhone 5. Doesn’t the new ipad feature a new A6x chip and the iPhone have a A6 chip?

  • Nupe2

That’s not right for people who bought “The New iPad” lol All they did was upgrade the processor, camera, and retina display. Apple does have us by the balls @Jackrabbit710. I still have the iPad 2 and the iPad 4 would be a good upgrade but I’m scared the iPad 5 might come out lol

@ThomasClinton Be lucky you don’t have an Android or you’d be outdated in 2 months. :O

@rtomyj  @ThomasClinton Ouch, low blow! As an Android user, I have to admit that this was the case about 2 years or so ago, but the market has settled a lot since then and most OEMs are putting out only a few high-end phones in the same time in which they would have put out five a couple years ago.

  • rtomyj

@roboguy12  @ThomasClinton (HTC One, HTC One X)… umm nope. I have used Android from phones to the Nexus 7, and this is the case, unless you go Nexus.

  • rtomyj

@roboguy12  @ThomasClinton One XL I meant, haha. Oh and Droid Razr and Droid Razr Max. On an unrelated note, the different colors of the GS3 that gets no hate. Yet the whole white iPhone (4 I believe) causes people to become buthurt… Lets just say groupthink works both ways, not just to one group.

  • roboguy12

@rtomyj  @ThomasClinton Yeah, you’re correct with that, although I think the One X -> One XL was meant as an incremental upgrade, like the iPhone 4 -> 4S was. But it’s nice to actually have a civil conversation with someone about Android and iPhones; it’s breath of fresh air!

@TodaysiPhone just bought my iPad 3 four months ago,I hardly found an 64GB version on store and now is already old, very disappointed…

  • mattkamla7

I just bought an iPad 3 three months ago. Not too happy

  • rtomyj

@roboguy12  @ThomasClinton Agreed. I love my Apple products, but I need to immerse myself in Win, iOS,  and Android to become a good developer… You gotta see the bad in all companies as well as the good.

@rtomyj  @roboguy12  @ThomasClinton Your point is invalid because tech isnt brand specific. Just because the iphone only releases one phone a year, doesnt mean its not outdated by other devices. The iPhone 5, for example, is already outdated by the note 2 and other devices coming out. Outdating doesnt just happen when the same brand outdates itself, but when the competition can outdate them to. So have fun with a phone that is already outdated before it was even announced. Ill happily stick with my note 2 that can do more multitasking then just pulling up a recent apps list :P
