With the iPad mini seeming more and more real, it feels as if news about it just isn’t stopping. The rumored device, which is said to be debuting sometime this month, has been said by analysts to be just as well built as any other Apple product. Some have speculated Apple may have had to tone down the unique, and expensive, design it is so well known for to keep the price range around the Google Nexus 7 and others. However, AllThingsD has a report today citing analyst Brian White as saying:
Apple did not skimp on the aesthetics of the much anticipated ‘iPad Mini. In fact, we believe the ‘iPad Mini’ could outshine the new iPad in terms of how the device feels in a consumer’s hands.
White also goes on to say that believes supply will be low initially, as the iPad mini is “more challenging to produce than prior iPad iterations.” It’s been reported that Apple has ordered 10 million of the smaller devices, which is around twice as much as the number of Kindle Fires ordered this quarter.
