Last minute iPhone 5 infographic: 22% of Android owners to switch?

A very interesting infographic has been released by Fiksu.com. Within its modern design is a whole host of intriguing statistics regarding Apple’s next flagship smartphone. It includes tidbits like 10 million people will be buying it on September 21st (launch day), this will obviously have a huge impact on app sales.

Perhaps the most interesting is where these buyers are coming from. According to surveys, 38% of BlackBerry users are planning to switch loyalties, as are 22% of Android users. Out of all the iPhone 3GS owners out there, just over 70% of them will be upgrading while almost three quarters of iPhone 4 users are likely to purchase the 6th gen handset.

I doubt over the next 6 months we will see a major shift in smartphone market share, the iPhone 5 will simply help keep apple where it is in terms of market share maybe gaining a few percent. The Galaxy S3 is selling well, the Galaxy Note 2 is coming out soon, also HTC has a few highend devices planned. Also a survey of 600 people is simply not big enough to get much of an idea.
