Here come the Passbook apps

With the release of iOS 6 today, of course, comes Passbook. Passbook is somewhat Apple’s ‘answer’ to NFC and e-wallets. Apps are beginning to get updated to support the new Apple-standard, and AppShopper has a list of all the apps available that include Passbook support. I’m hoping a lot of companies catch on to this, as I would love to decrease the number of plastic cards and paper coupons I seem to always have. Check out the source link for an updating list of Passbook-compatible applications, and if you haven’t, go update to iOS 6 first!

What do you think? Excited to try out Passbook? Did you preorder the iPhone 5 and can’t wait to try this? Let us know in the comments.

Maca586 do you even have passbook on your home screen? if so, the only thing that i could suggest is to just open the app and at the bottom of the screen it should say "app store". its a link that will open the app store to the apps that work with passbook. I dont know about restrictions to different countries.
