AT&T’s system shows first iPhone 5 cases

It’s almost routine for ‘next-gen iPhone’ cases to show up somewhere just days from the device’s supposed announcement. Well, this year is no different, as ‘iPhone 5′ cases have shown up on AT&T’s system today. Although we exclusively brought you evidence of inventory on the company’s systems, this leak shows images of the actual accessories themselves.

The cases seem to made for the iPhone 5 design that we’ve seen often recently, and, unlike dock accessory manufacturers (that still haven’t been given the specs for Apple’s speculated ’9-pin dock connector), case manufacturers have had access to the design of the next iPhone for a while now, meaning that there’s every possibility that the cases we are seeing are in fact the real deal.

Although, don’t hold your breath about the legitimacy of the design shown, as it’s not unusual for these kind of ‘leaks’ to just be fakes, but with only a week left until Apple’s September 12th ‘iPhone 5 announcement’ event, it may not be long before we see the iPhone 5 for real.

Is that going to be Apple's reply to lack of NFC?
