Verizon blackouts vacation from Sept 21-30, hinting at iPhone launch?

Verizon is reportedly blacking out vacation for its employees from September 21st through the 30th. This report, coming from TechCrunch, would line up nicely with the previously rumored (and oft mentioned) September 21st launch date for the newest iPhone. It is expected that Apple will announce the next iPhone on September 12th, and then release in the US on September 21st.

A trusted Verizon employee has just confirmed to TechCrunch that the carrier is having an all-staff vacation blackout from the dates of Friday, September 21 to the following Friday, September 30.

Unless some other company has done a better job than Apple at being secret (which…no one ever really has), it can be assumed this will be to help with the sudden influx of activations and purchases Verizon will be receiving in the days following the next iPhone launch. (Presuming it is the actual launch date. Right now, we’re not 100% convinced.)

What do you think? Does this help confirm the date? Are you getting tired of rumors and wish time would go faster? Let us know in the comments.
