App developer Empirical Matrix recently released a very handy iOS suppport matrix for Autumn 2012. This chart definitely has the potential to help the app developing world out by showing the number of devices running a certain version of iOS, and makes recommendations for dropping support in updates to come.  

My personal favorite attributes are its very easy to read style, and use of multiple colors to simplify its message. My fellow news writer, and app developer, Kyle Frost, is probably jumping for joy because of this chart, as I’m sure app developers around the world are as well.
