Unique iPhone 4 prototype surfaces on eBay
A unique iPhone 4 prototype has surfaced on eBay. Described as “rare”, the item is listed as “Apple iPhone 4 32GB N90AP PROTOTYPE UNRELEASED SWITCHBOARD TESTER UNIT”.
The item has 1 bid, of $4,500. In the description, the item is described as “one of a very small amount of Apple prototype devices”, unseen on eBay. It has 32GB of storage, and interestingly, clamps on the backplate are used to attach it to the body, rather than the screws that appeared on the official model.
The unit is running Apple’s software testing suite, Switchboard. Apple normally disable these devices before a product launches, however this on is described as “fully functional”.
The unit sports the incredibly cool “protologo” rather than the traditional Apple.
It’s only available for purchase from the USA, and $10,000 will get you it straight away, otherwise, enjoy bidding!
