The new iPad makes its way to the refurbished section
5 months after the release, the new iPad has made its way into the refurbished section of the Apple.com online store. The discount isn’t very big, with the highest being 10% off, the lowest being 6% (when you do the math on all of them, you notice that what Apple did is took $50 off all of them).
If you are interested in picking one up, the new iPads that are refurbished will have a new battery and outer shell, and also receive the same 1-year warranty treatment as newly bought iPads. You can find them at the second source link below.
The new iPad, as many of you know, is a big jump spec-wise from the previous generation iPad 2. Many complained upon its release that it wasn’t quite what they wanted because, like the iPhone 4 to iPhone 4S jump, it kept the same outer design. However, on the inside it got a large upgrade, getting its processor bumped up to a quad-core GPU (the CPU is still dual-core), a gorgeous Retina display, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera, and now in iOS 6 the new iPad will be the only so far to support Siri. So if you are wondering if the upgrade is worth it, I myself had the iPad 2 and bought the new iPad, and think it is more than worth it. Now with the slightly cheaper price, more people will consider getting one.
What do you think? Are you going to get one now with the slightly lowered price? Should they be cheaper than this since they are used? Let us know in the comments.
