Petition emerges against AT&T plan to block FaceTime
As you know, a couple of days ago AT&T revealed that it is going to block Apple’s FaceTime over cellular unless customers signed up to a very expensive Mobile Share data plan.
You won’t be surprised to learn that this has made lots of AT&T customers very angry. 95% of TiP’s audience are American, and so its highly likely that some of you are AT&T customers. AT&T’s actions have received criticism left and right. advocacy group Public Knowledge described the move as a violation of “the FCC’s Open Internet rules” and when speaking with the Verge, Senator Al Franken described it as “the wrong thing to do”.
With that in mind, down below is the address of Free Press’s petition, if you’d like to sign it, head on over and make your voice heard.
What’s your reaction to AT&T’s plan? Leave your comments below!
