New knockoff ‘iPhone 5′ created by Chinese firm
As part of the ever growing network of people trying to steal the iPhone’s image for a profit, a Chinese firm has created a knockoff of the rumored iPhone 5, which will most likely be revealed on September 12th, in an effort to rip off the popularity of Apple in order to get a quick buck. This Chinese phone is called the Goophone, and uses Android for its operating system.
Although the next generation iPhone is almost universally predicted to have a 4-inch screen, the Goophone has a 940×640 3.5″ screen. The Goophone also sports a 5 megapixel rear camera along with a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera that I like to call “FakeTime.” The firm has not release any pricing, or availability information yet, so for those interested in the Goophone, you will just have to wait.
It personally disgusts me that people would try to rip of the ingenuity of Apple and try to ride the wave of the iPhone 5′s hype all the way to profit city, but I guess you gotta get by somehow in the world. What do you guys think of this knockoff? Does it get you excited for the real deal? Let me know in the comments.
