Moleskine and Evernote launch ‘Smart Notebooks’

The new Evernote Smart Notebook application fills the gap between the digital and analog world by giving users of Evernote the capability to take physically written notes in a special Moleskine notebook, and then easily import the notes into the Evernote application.

The notebook will cost you around 25 U.S. dollars and allows a new feature in Evernote to take photos of a page and have it instantly available, and searchable, in the Evernote app (aptly named Page Camera).

The Evernote Smart Notebook is available for preorder for $24.95 and a larger notebook is available for $29.95.

You may notice that this new application is similar to Evernote’s previously released application, Evernote Peek, the first ever app to utilize the iPad Smart Cover by using the Smart Cover to create virtual flash cards for preparing for exams, or anything else you would wish to study. It’ll be great for students, if you’re anything like me you probably lose important notes at the wrong time. Having a digital copy easily accessible from the app at any time takes the stress out of revising.
